Hello, hello.
« on: June 25, 2013, 09:06:42 AM »
Hey ! My name's David, recently turned 18 and I'm bald by choice (having a receding hairline was one of the reasons I chose to shave my head).  I'm very glad to be here.   :)

I have a question for you,  if you can help me, how can I get rid of the white scalp? When I first shaved my head it was really really bad, and the skin tone of my scalp was so different than the skin tone of my face and it looked really weird; now it has improved, but I still have a white scalp, and it kind of bothers me that my bald head is not very 'clean' looking, if you know what I mean.

Thanks !!!

Cheers!  8)

Welcome. You need more sun exposure on your Sly head. That should help.

The tone will blend in over time.  You did not say how long you have been shaved, but I would expect that in a few months you will not be able to see a difference in the tone of the scalp from your face.  The timing depends on how much exposure you get, but be careful.  The newly shaved skin will sunburn very easily.

Some have used sunless tanning lotion to help even out the tone, but I do not have experience with that.

Welcome! As the others said, sun exposure (in limited amounts) will help over time. But make sure you use sunscreen if out in the sun for an extended period. Good luck!

Welcome to the club. It took me between about 3 and 6 months for my scalp to match my face after I went sly.
Hair is over rated.

Patience but be careful with sun exposure for a time.
