Sly Game Show Hosts and Contestants
« on: May 26, 2013, 05:05:39 PM »
To my sly brothers and sisters: I am a professed game show junkie, so much that when there is nothing else on TV, I tend to watch GSN a lot. On Monday and Wednesday they do a lot of older episodes of "Family Feud" with Steve Harvey (who wears sly well I might add) I also enjoy "Let's Make A Deal" with Wayne Brady, and though it is no longer shown "Deal or No Deal" with Howie Mandel. Nice to see sly guys get air time in a day when many guys are keying in on their hair. As far as contestants, I would say at least five guys per week on Family Feud are sly, and there are balding guys who should go sly. I DVR "The Price is Right" everyday and I see more and more sly guys getting called to come on down. One guy a few months back won $26K on the big wheel, and a few sly contestants have won cars among other things on the show. All of this said, it's nice to see sly guys getting their days (and in most cases paydays) on these game shows. Any thoughts?

I think it is just a reflection of what is going on in society in general. Sly is totally mainstream these days.  It is rare to see anyone undress 50 who has MPB and doesn't shave or at least buzz closely.

It is becoming more common....but there are still those who elect to hang onto the horseshoe.....IMO, a few look okay/halfway decent, but at least half of these guys, regardless of age, need to just give it up and shave it closer/off. But again, that's a personal choice (and this doesn't apply only for game shows, but other shows also.)

On Friday's episode of Price is Right, an ATX was offered as a prize in the "Plinko" game.....(It was the Father's Day Episode where dads team up with offspring) The father on this particular team happened to be sly, but guessed the wrong price on it...the correct price was $13, but he thought it was $30+ :( Anyway, nice to see head-shaving products get their due on TV!
