New here but not newly bald
« on: April 28, 2013, 10:09:44 AM »
Hi everyone. just a quick message to say hello. I've been shaving my head now for a couple of years since losing a lot of it naturally  :XX. I came across this forum while searching for something a bit better than a standard wet razor.  There seems to be a lot of support for the headblade products so I'm thinking of ordering one.  I'd be interested in views as to whether they really are all they're cracked up to be

Quite a few guys here really like the headblade, including me.

But there are some who don't adjust.

Here's my routine. If I'm shaving daily, I just use the headblade. If I skip a day, I shave with a Fusion Power with the grain first, then headblade against the grain.

The headblade seems to give the smoothest head.

Welcome, Distroshack. There are varying experiences with Headblades on this forum. I started using the HB few weeks after I begun shaving my head. That was 15 months ago I've never looked back.

Why not order one and see how you get along ? You could look on their web site for guidance on a shaving technique for your head.

Welcome to the club. I alternate between the headblade sport and the Schick hydro 5. Both give good results. Good luck.

Welcome mate,

I rate the headblade for ease of use and speed.

I think that traditional wet shaving is also great if you have the time!

Let is know how you get on.

Welcome! I use HeadSlick almost all the time even if I don't use the HeadBlade. But both are very good especially if you are shaving your head and only have a short time to do it. Stick around and participate and see if there are some new methods and/or products that may pique your interest. Good luck!

G'Day Distroshack mate  O0

Welcome to the Bastion Of Baldness.

I think the ATX Headblade as excellent. I have been Sly for 17 years and the ATX is the best I have used.
Easy to use, no nics or cuts and gives a "smooth as a baby's bum" shave.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I decided to buy the atx and it arrived this morning. Very fast shave and the results seem good. Certainly a lot easier than a standard blade
