• Found this brilliant forum and thought it only polite that I introduce myself  
  
  I have been sporting a buzz cut (about a #1) for about 4 years when my receder got too noticeable.
  
  Summer is coming and I fancy a nice shiny bonce to dazzle people with (plus the #1 cut is beginning to bug me now).
  
  I have never shaved my head before, but I have taken valuable advice from this forum and ordered a Headblade ATX, headblade slick, lube (glossy) and some witch hazel.
  
  So when these arrive I am going sly!
  
  It is strange that I already have a #1 cut, but that next albeit small step to "bald", seems huge!
  
  When I have done the deed I will update my pic!

• Welcome to the group! Nice to have another fellow UK resident on board. Good luck with the jump from #1 buzzcut to bald. It feels like a big jump but trust me it's definitely worth a go. If you don't like it a few days down the line it will be back to grade 1.

  I know that you will love being sly. You will love the smoth feeling on your dome. You made good choices on headblade products. Headblade glossy will give your dome a nice shine, I use it a lot myself. I like a good shine on my noggin. Looking forward to hearing about your experience and seeing a picture of your sly dome.

  I am currently growing my hair out a bit and everyone who comments on the feeling of the smooth vs the fuzz is 100% spot on -- there is no comparison between fuzz and smooth, no matter how short the fuzz may be.
