I agree you should at least do the 30 day rule.  If after that it's still not for you, then let it grow.

Well she digs it. She says she wants the hair back eventually but for summer this is good. She can't keep her hands off the dome either, so I guess we'll see how the next 27 days goes!

Living with the look for a while is all part of the experience and you're cheating yourself if you grow your hair back right away.  If your wife likes it "for summer", then why don't  you make the commitment to stay bald until Labor Day? Then you can start growing it out -- if you still want to.

lol, I think you are both going to be hooked long before the  30 days are up.  You look great.  If she can't keep her hands off it now, I don't think there is any going back for you. Enjoy the feel of the breeze across your newly freed skin.

"Eventually" is what my wife initially said too, but at this point (eight weeks) she no longer mentions growing my hair back.  Try staying bald until Labor Day as was suggested - the bald head is really comfortable in the hot summer weather!

Thanks all. I'll discuss with her tonight! its still weird but feels awesome.

but how long till the white head fades? and how do i keep a shine? the barber lady rubbed me with something and it lasted the day, not sure what it was i was in glazed over. the hot towel razor /oil treatment was an event.

Think I'll let the beard scruff back up, but may keep the dome slick.

If you mean your scalp feels a little weird, that's normal because it has been covered with hair for a long time.  For the first week or so the sensation of touching my scalp was entirely different than touching my forehead.  That different sensation faded and now everything feels the same.

If you mean it feels weird because you're bald, welcome to the club! That weird feeling is because it's a big change and it too fades pretty quickly as you realize the awesome feeling of the smooth dome.

Regarding the shine, others will chime in.  I use HeadLube Glossy.  It gives a nice shine and is a good moisturizer.  You'll also notice that your scalp will naturally shine from the oils in your skin.

As to the white head, it depends on your complexion and the amount of time you spend outdoors in the sun.  For some guys it takes a week.  Mine took longer because I'm in an office during the daylight hours five days a week.  Eventually the skin tone evens out.
