I skip a bunch of Christmas parties, but not for the reasons you experienced, Leigh. Sorry it was such a bad time.
I deal with SAD and just don't have the energy in December to do everything that comes along the way. I have to pick and choose what I'll go to and what not. Sometimes skip at the last minute, too, if I'm out of emotional energy.
I hope you'll have another Christmas party which will not be such a bad experience.

Ive toyed with the idea of going into work next week and grabbing people's boobs and sticking my tongue down their ear holes and saying "Oh! sorry! I thought this was how we greeting each other now? my bad!"

Ive had the weekendto mull it over (with some mulled wine!) Ill see what people say tomorrow. If anyone says anything Ill make lighthearted and say "Well, y'know it was a bit much, not too impressed" and leave it at that.
Friday I go to The Lake District to spend Christmas with friends in a big converted barn, so that will be brilliant. The only people to fondle and molest me will be the ones I allow to!

That's the spirit, haha! Enjoy mate!
On the weekend I'm going to my Grandmother's for her 80th/Family Christmas too I guess haha... I don't know if you know much about an Aussie BBQ, but there is going to be lots of meat, booze and good times!

How would Granny feel if several dozen of us bald guys showed up to wish her a Happy 80th and share in the
meat, booze and good times!?

Update! Well, one of the women got so drunk that she fell over and broke her arm! classy lady! A few of the others came to me today to say "All that touching was a bit much huh?" I replied "Yes, was, so just let everyone know that in future Ill require payment for my booty"
Im leaving it at that, but if it happens again Im going to go further.
I had Kangaroo steak once..had the urge to jump a lot after! *boom! boom!*

I'm sure that she'd be down for it, I think it's a bring a plate type affair... good ole mum is taking my share though

Best. Idea. Ever. I doubt it's on the menu, but now you make me want some. Kangaroo is one of my favourite meats! There will be lots of lamb though hopefully. If I am lucky my uncle will have a fresh lamb kill for us

I'll match the carousing and boozing at an Aussie BBQ against a South African Braai anytime. And, remember, when we go to the beach for one we have sharks and penguins to deal with. The trick is to stagger above the tide line before you become part of the food chain.
