Hi guys,

Just as an update I am still at a real short buzz cut while I have been getting rid of some small pimples and getting my scalp in good shape in general.  I have got rid of all the pimples but I found out that a real small pimple that I had was actually not a pimple but an angioma. 

I found this about when I went to the doctor and asked about it.  I asked about getting rid of it but she just told me that it was nothing to worry about and that they usually do not look to remove them unless you have several.  I asked about what if I accidently shave it and she just said that it will bleed for a little bit. 

Now granted  it was just the physician's assistant and not my actual doctor that saw me.   So I am tempted to go back to see my actual doctor and ask her about removing it.  What do you guys think and what all will it entail?  The angioma just simply resembles a very small dark pimple. 

I mean who knows maybe when I decide to shave my head I will be able to just shave over it without any damage?  Or maybe an electric razor might not nick it?  Or would it just be best to ask my doctor to remove it?  I do not really want to shave and do damage to the thing and have it bleed like crazy.  The angioma is the main thing holding me back at this point from shaving.  For right know I am going to shave it down to my #.5 guard from a #1 until I figure out what to do.

Styptic pencil, I am not familiar with those but I will have to look into it.  I am on the fence about whether I should remove it or just try to shave over or around it.    It may be hard to shave around it because it is on the top back of my head and would be hard to see without multiple mirrors.  Like I said it is really small and I have only one of them.  But it is still raised and I am not sure how hard(or easy) it is to make an angioma bleed.  I kind of wonder if I used a good product like headslick and a nice razor if it would just glide over it?  Or maybe I would have better success with an electric razor.  Hopefully some of you have had experience with angiomas.

they are sometimes called Cherries also. A doctor can remove them by cauterizing them. Try a dermatologist. They heal that way with no scar.

I had one of these on the right side of my head.  Notice I said "had".  Yep, shaved it off accidentally.

How much did it bleed and did it leave any kind of scar?

Oh and I looked up about those styptic pencils, they are pretty neat.  I never knew such a thing existed.  I will definitely have to pick up some of those.  Thanks for the tip Tyler.
