You will always be SLY in your heart.
barbasol with aloe
I have a soft spot for the smell of that stuff, and dettol... weird old me
If I have a couple days growth I go with the grain all over, and then do a full head against the grain. I never let my hair get so long that I need clippers. 3 or 4 days max.
Hmm, interesting thread. Nice to have some female input here...Welcome GG.
Welcome aboard and congrats on the leap sly sisteren, bretheren all aboard
Where is our GutsyGirl? Don't be a stranger, GG!
Welcome to the family! Btw you look great shaved.
I have been traveling for thanksgiving. Had a great time. Shaved my head again today but it's 1/8 inch for winter and surviving holidays with less than supportive relatives. Hope everyone here had a marvelous thanksgiving also! Eat lots of turkey?

Pity about the relatives, I guess one bonus is that you don't have to deal with their negative feedback until next time. I guess the important thing is that you are still enjoying the look

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, but I do enjoy a good turkey!
Welcome back, GG. I had a good Thanksgiving with family. Hopefully your relatives will come to accept your choices.
Be well!
My Thanksgiving was enjoyable and I let the many comments about my hair (or lack thereof) roll off my dome.

Surprisingly!!! my family didn't make a ton of comments about my head during Christmas. Perhaps since badgering me and telling me it looked ugly didn't make me want to grow it out, they figure NOT badgering me may work. Shrug; I do it for me, not them. But I am glad for the respite from negative and undesired feedback.
I was using Mach 3 for a while. Now I'm embracing my shadow. I think having the shadow outline of hair looks a bit more feminine, as I see most women with shaved heads going this route unless cancer or alopecia is part of the equation (and for me it's not). I'll use a clipper to keep it very very short every few days. Ah my scalp thanks me for its freedom!
For Christmas I received several new hats which is awesome. I love soft hats.

A friend also gave me a pretty ear cuff. I had never heard of them before! They are earrings that don't require piercings and typically follow the outside border of the ear with decorative wire and/or stones or pearls. I really love them and they look GREAT on a head without hair to hide them! Now I want to collect a few!
Tonight I'm going to a semi-formal party and looking forward to dressing up. Perhaps I'll get a few pics and post them here.
Hey gutsy! Happy New Year!
Sounds like you had a good Christmas, with minimal familial harassment. That's cool. I wish more ladies would go sly. I actually like it, but then I once had a megacrush on Sinead O'Connor. For some reason my current girl was all sorts of supportive when it was time for me to shave, but didn't find it funny when I suggested she do the same lol
