Next option for Bald (By Choice)
« on: October 05, 2012, 06:19:22 PM »
Well I tried a few different electric razors for about 3 weeks now, and they seem to give me more irritation than a razor blade or liners ever did. I'm considering going back to liners, anyone have any experience using those? Or anyone care to share any other alternatives? Either I'm terrible at shaving or I have one extremely sensitive head. I'm gonn assume its the second one cause my face is pretty sensitive also. Please help, love bald look. But hate having back of head and neck area break out. HELP

Never had a problem in 8 1/2 months of head shaving.

What are 'liners'?

at the very beginning, the skin tends to irritate.
Try a razor, and within a week your scalp should be ok.
be who you are, say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter

After you shave rub an ice cube on your head. Dry head and apply some witch hazel. I use Thayers which you can get at GNC.

Give it some time and be sure to use a good blade. Since you are first will feel like you want to go over it again, resist that urge until your skin conditions for shaving and running over spots more than once. Go easy and it will pay off sooner than you think with a smooth shave.

Baldhdbiker for the win. Good advice.

To the OP. I personally hate electric razors, they give me irritation anywhere I use them.

But a head blade at and the 6 blade cartridges. Awesome.
