For fiction, I currently like anything by Vince Flynn -- if you like Clancy, you'll like Flynn as well. I'm also a big fan of history books and the History Channel... am currently reading 'A World Undone - The Story of the Great War 1914 - 1918.' It has a lot of good history -- started reading it because as I understand it, much of the crises and conflicts we are dealing with today have their roots in WWI and its aftermath, and this book supposedly lays it all out very well.Ryan, maybe you can ditch the comic books, and see if you can find something in a book that you might find interesting. With the internet, it might be a lot easier to discover books/authors that might peak your interest. I used to read more when I was younger, and now it takes me a long time to finish a book... too many competing interests.
i think the last book i read cover to cover was probably a Dr. Suess book around bedtime one nite. (all the dads know the feeling. the soon to be dads will know the feeling.
My job deals 100% with General Motors, and since they are now on strike, I have LOTS of time for reading (actually, I have had lots of time for reading on the job for a long time)My current book is Legends of the Fall, by Jim Harrison.I recently finished Into Thin Air, by Jon Krakauer.

That's exactly right, PB, and like Stew said there are too many competing interests now.I love to read, but don't get to as much as I used to. Read my daily newspaper and some magazines mostly now.
