Have you seen my shaving "mojo"... because I've lost it.
The last two shaves I just have NOT gotten good shaves. Missed spots, a couple nicks, terrible lather, and shaves that just aren's very close.
How in the world did this happen??!!?? I was getting the greatest shaves ever.... and then... PPFFFTTT!!! .... gone!
So... if you've seen my shaving "mojo", grab it and mail it back to me. I can't go on like this!!

It happens to the best of us. I had a few bad shaves recently. I felt like I was cheating on my Merkur but I went back to my HB and SH5 for a day or two. Those days on easier razors let my wounds heal and also reminded me that I do know how to shave well and can give myself a decent head and face shave.
Don't get discouraged Mike and remember that it's a process to become proficient with a DE. Also proficiency with a DE on your face doesn't always translate to proficiency on you head in my experience. The two surfaces and how you approach them with a sharp piece of steel are totally different. Hang in there.

Mike,
I think it ran off with mine! I'm sitting here noticing a sandpaper-like feel on the crown of my head and a couple missed spots in the back. Smoothness eluded me this morning...

Y'all know that we're coming up on a full moon, tomorrow? And it's a "Blue Moon", too. Could be bad medicine for shavers.

Same here. I was enjoying a good long run of awesome shaves and then yesterday I developed a zit due to an ingrown hair and today I somehow managed to give myself two cuts that were miniscule but sure did bleed a lot. Bad headshaves are the sly guy's equivalent of a bad hair day.

I'm going to shake my fist at the Shaving Gods this weekend. I'm leaving for camping at noon tomorrow. No shave for me until Monday afternoon!! (Well unless the wife says, "You need to go shave".).
Take that Shaving Gods!!!

Excellent plan! And don't let the Blue Moon shine on you and don't get skeeter bit.

have you changed your technique lately? if so, it may be because of that.

I think it's because the 15 hour work days have caught up to me and I'm just worn out. But the weekend is here!!!
