I went SLY on Canada Day (July 1st). I am 61 years old, a little fat, but basically in OK condition. I have never been concerned about my hair style. For the past 20 years I have had a #1 buzz cut and then ignored it until I had to brush or comb it; immediately I would have it buzzed again. I knew that I had MPB but wasn't overly concerned UNTIL July 1st when (after having a few "wobbly pops") I looked in the mirror and saw Friar Tuck. Being a very devout agnostic I immediately changed my appearance by shaving bald, and have kept it up daily since then. My wife has been visiting her ill mother and does not know that I have gone SLY. I expect that she wll freak out and insist that I start growing it again when she returns in mid August.

Welcome out of the Friar closet, Tom!

Tell your wife that it's too late -- you're already addicted.

Welcome! At the end of the day, it is your head and if it makes you happy, she'll relent...But don't assume she'll be angry...She just might like it, you may be surprised!

They learn to live with it, believe me. If you like it, you're the 24/7 guy--enjoy and keep it slick. The only thing that will really irk her is the probable attention you'll get from other ladies

I went sly at age 63 and my wife was a bit put out at first but n one ever comments these days 8 years later. Would suggest you might tell her before she gets home just so she gets used to the idea. However if you have been a No 1 buzz for years she might not even notice. Good luck!

I can hear it now ... "Hi Honey, a funny thing happened when I was trimming my hair ..." and you just go from there.

Welcome!
Tom, if you like your new look, isn't it possible that other will like it too, like friends and even relatives? Because I think there is a good chance that they will.
