• Hello guys,
  
  let me introduce myself,
  
  My name is Florin, i am 28 of age living in Romania and working in It.
  
  I started to lose my hair from the top of my crown and getting a pretty big bald spot on the top of my head. That started 4 -5 years ago. It was pretty much a mind breaker for me . I wanted to shave my head but i always listened to other people telling my not to shave my head because i am to skinny. So finally i stopped to listen to them and i shaved my head. 15 days have passed since i choose to go sly, and i like it. The reaction of colleagues , friends, family is not that positive. I am trying to keep a positive attitude  and i keep saying to myself 'if i like it keep it that way, don't listen to other people'.
  
  I also added some photos and i would appreciate your thoughts regarding the look.

• Welcome Florin to SBG !   Thank you for joining and posting.  Congrats on going sly as it looks awesome !  What you think is important because negative comments from family, friends, etc. will eventually fade away.  You might consider light facial stubble or a jawline beard to help accent your face shape and bald head.  Hang in there and we all look forward to your posts !

• Welcome, Florin! Glad to see you here. I know it's easier said than done, but please try to not put so much weight on what others have to say. Anyone who judges you negatively, especially your looks, is someone who is suffering from their own lack of self-confidence, and has to project it onto you. Everyone looks different. Everyone worries that they are too skinny; fat; have a funny head shape. These are the traits that make us unique as individuals, no? Be happy with who and what you are, because it is what you will always be.
  It looks great on you. It really does. I think it's a good look for you. What matters of course is that YOU are happy with it, which I'm glad to see you are. Give it more time. 15 days is but a fart in the wind in the grand scheme of time. In time, those who love you and respect you will come to accept it as WHO YOU ARE. Those who cannot accept it, are not people who should be in your inner circle of friends and loved ones.

• Welcome aboard Florin! I've only been sportin the Sly look for 5 days & seem to have mixed reviews from friends & family. But personally, I like the way I look & love the way it feels...my wife digs it & my kids could seem to care less lol.
  
  If I could offer one nugget of advice, be who you are...people will either accept or reject the new you. Let them! But one thing that I know to be true no matter what is this....if you have confidence in & believe in yourself your hair will be the last thing people even think about. Whether you're rockin the Sly look or not, you are who you are! Cool thing is, there's only one YOU....ENJOY YOUR LIFE BRO!!!

  I couldn't have said it better than Natedawg. And I agree with the others, you look great. I don't see any reason you should have the least concern about continuing the sly look. Particularly if that's what you like - you're the one living with the look 24 hours a day.
  
  Stick around. You'll see that many others have similar concerns which fade away with time. Enjoy your new freedom from worrying about hairloss and attempting to maintain it.

• I think that Paul has said that bald is not that common in Romania, so reception of a bald head may not be as welcome as in other places. Be a trend setter. Wear a smile. You look great bald.
