I'm right-handed so I use it for the whole job. To me, it feels unnatural and uncomfortable using my left hand.
If someone didn't know what we were talking about, this could sound pretty bad... if you know what I mean

Well, I tried it ... but I don't think I'll continue switching. I use my right hand for the blade. My left has the excess HeadSlick for touchups and such. Everybody's different ...

I tried alternating the other night, and it felt quite awkward, but it seemed to work better. I like keeping my left hand free with a bit of excess headslick though as frontierguy said.
