As weird as this sounds I do have a small pack of disposable razors (pack of 4 for a dollar at Dollar Tree) and a travel size can of Gillette Foamy that I carry in my truck in case I have one of those spots that "gets my goat"

Ditto... I'm with everyone else. If I'm doing it I want cue ball. I double check by feel and a mirror.

Just like others have stated, I go every which way I need to until the dome is completely smooth. Yes, NO ONE else will know or see it but I will know its there;)

I always take waaaaaaay too long to shave my head for just that reason. Just like you, I know nobody would notice but I am just not content until it's nearly perfectly smooth.

You can add me too!
I will go over and over areas until I am stubble free!
My sentiments exactly.

Well done Sir!
Thanks, Lynchy!....I'm also in the National Guard so they're good to have if another soldier sees that I missed a spot on the chin, or didn't shave good enough for weekend drill.....

Add yet another to the list! It must be stubble free or it drives me crazy until the next day...
Those of us in agreement, how long does it take you to achieve smoothness and how do you accomplish it?
I'm only a few days into my 30 and have been shaving daily bit it takes a long time. About 45 minutes to shower and shave my head. How can I get faster? This is very time consuming and feels very high maintenance. Almost feels vain. I love being sly but must figure out how to do so in less time. Suggestions?

Ron, you'll find in a week or so that the time required significantly reduces. My shower/shave time had increased between 15 and 20 minutes solely because of shaving my head (versus shampooing) but between week 2 and 3 everything shortened back to normal. It also depends on whether you've added more steps - for example, I wasn't using an exfoliant. But once I did for my scalp I added some face time and my skin has improved. I'm also more conscious of (old man) stray ear/nostril/eyebrow hair than I was. Yup, that probably is vanity!
Though, if I have time to spare, I will lavish a bit more attention on my shave. We deserve a bit of quality time once in a while.

I'm gonna stick with it and make any decision after my 30 days. I love it but just need to cut the time down. I'm picky as the OP was asking, to that point I found this morning, using the HB followed by Shick Extreme 3 for the stubby spots worked well.

Cue ball here, too! I'm not satisfied until I'm 100 per cent stubble free.

Just keep practicing. Been sly for 5 months now. And only really getting to the point where it's second nature - like cleaning your teeth.
Don't be put off. Just keep going. By autumn, you'll be shaving your head smooth in under 10 minutes. You might want to try exfoliater, too. Consider HeadShed.
PS -- in the last month, noticed the top of my my head getting extra smooth now. And I don't think it's due improved shaving techniques. Uh - oh.
