you both awesome. both of you should stay sly if thats what each of you want. and yes your wife actually does pull it off very well. i'm new to sly as well and i dont ever plan on going back.

did u guys experience prejudice from your friends when u first went sly? our friends with hair suddenly don't wanna hang out tonight...... maybe we're being paranoid.....

I'd guess the change to sly was unexpected and they're not sure how to respond. Give them time - as long as you're good with the look (and you should be) you've got nothing to worry about.
I've got a couple of friends who remain wary - but I had an advantage; I let most of my acquaintances know my hair would be getting much shorter very soon so they were not totally unaware.

some of my firend like refused to even look at me for awhile but after like a week they got used to it.
but honestly (i hope i dont offedn anyone) if they do not want to hang out because you both shaved your heads then they are not being very good friends. it is kind a little immatture.
btw i'm currently in southeast alaska for now. -

thanx so much for all the replies and support guys! this place has been more helpful than i would have ever thought!! we finally ended up going out with our friends last night (they didn't blow us off because we were bald afterall lol) and here's what it looked like:
