OK, so it's day 2 now. Do you still like it?

(I bet you do).

How were the reactions yesterday?

I LOVE IT!!!  i was surprised at how much stubble grows in a day. i couldnt wait to shave my head again to get that smooth feeling back. the only negative reaction was from my mom who asked me why i did it. after a while she told me it "didnt look terible" her biggest issue is i have really thick hair and that she diddnt get why i did it cause i'm not balding. but i really like this. so happy i went sly. i was surprised how much attention i was getting from the girls last night though. hahaha

You look GREAT - - - Try different products for shaving  - -and different shavers - -I have even used an electric - -I change off regularly  - -It is fun - -I shave every day to avoid the shadow of a "horseshoe"

Enjoy

do you ever not do it yourself and pay to have it done with maybe, a stright razor. is that part of mixing it up? does anyone pay to have it done? if so, why? and how often? and how do you find a shop willing to do it?

I KNOW.  Amazing how fast the hair grows back when you are bald by choice.

right. Why would a guy with a full head of hair (like me), just shave it off. And repeat that every day!  LOL.

Guys, I think that we have another sly brother here!  A few months down the line you'll still be shaving bald every day and loving it.

I"m too cheap. The hair grows back too fast.  Why spend $15 or more for a headshave that will be stubble by evening.

I have never used an electric shaver, either all or nothing for me. I have gotten a straight razor shave once before and it was not what I expected. It was a female barber that did it and she sliced my head and made me bleed from a dozen cuts. Plus, there were maybe 3 smooth spots, the rest was still at a days stubble worth. I hear that an old fashioned barber style is the way to go, with an old experienced barber.
For the relationship part- keep your head smooth and shiny, wear sunscreen and try to get a tan on it, ladies love it. I tend to shave daily because you never know when a lady will want to rub your head for good luck. I had an almost relationship start when I was at work and a customer came in, she saw me and was shy to ask but ended up asking if she could rub my head for good luck. I let her, she loved the feel of it and would come in once a week just to rub my head. One night we went out for a burger and started hanging out more and more and were almost to the point of being officially dating when she had a family emergency and had to fly back to the east coast to be with her family. We still facebook each other but she now has a boyfriend

When I've carried a beard for an extended period, I've gone to my childhood barber (or a classmate who is also a barber) to get the beard trimmed and shaped (I don't shave everyday due to breakouts). If I have more than say, five days of growth, I let them shave my head as well. Prior to joining this forum, I went to the barber on alternating Fridays (the Fridays I was off) My childhood barber (who is in his 70s), charges $10 for everything, whereas my classmate charges $20 for everything) Since joining this forum, I may have been to a barber twice and that was only because I was on maneuvers and couldn't get my hands on a razor or cream at the time (big mistake). In your situation, most barbers will do it, but you have to ask as some may not give you a razor shave for sanitary reasons, it's pretty much a case by case basis.
Even when the d is removed, the devil is still evil.
