It was time, you made the right choice. After 30 days you'll never want to go back. Extra benefit, with that great beard, those razor blades are going to last a really long time, believe me.

Wow! Thanks for your support and encouragement. No joke: Most supportive guys on the 'net right here. Thanks a lot!
I did trim the beard up a little since then, but it'll probably never go away completely. I'm a big fan of the bald-bearded look. In fact, it was a random pic I saw of a bald bearded guy in news story Saturday that finally inspired me to do what I'd been thinking about for so long.
My second shave took six minutes this morning, one pass, WTG only. Not bad. I'm a minimalist, low-maintenance kind-of guy, so it's important that this new look doesn't require extraordinary efforts on my part.
between my first shave Saturday (done by my barber) and this morning's, I read a lot about shaving routines on the boards here and began to think, "I can't do this." I haven't shaved my face in over ten years...how am I going to keep up with something that requires multiple creams and lotions and experimenting with different razors and blades..." I finally gave up, bought what seemed like a popular shave gel and used the disposable razor I had on hand. Hot water before, cold water after, bing, bang boom.
Thanks again. for the kind words.

Howdy. Just a new guy, giving 'er the 30 day trial. Here are two before pics:

The view from up top really makes me think I did the right thing:

And now:

I'll confess, I'm a little nervous, so thanks for your support.
Fantastic.
You posted beautiful photos of you (which I always consider a beautiful way to be open) and definitely made a quantic jump with the sly look.
Fantastic looking.
Great great change, man!!
Five stars

Welcome to the forum Sal. Sounds like you're enjoying the new look. With time you will simplify your routine, it's really not that bad.
Stick with the products that work best for you, and try new things as you go along.

Sal - welcome. As for the shaving routine, you'll find something that works for you and gives you results you're happy with. We all keep working at it till we find what we like.

I was going to say initially I thought you would look even better with your beard trimmed evenly round your chin ( of course I am biased) and lo and behold you have done it yourself. Looks terrific and a real keeper. Enjoy.

Thanks, Slyfive!
And here's the trimmed beard from the front:

The bald head and the beard complement each other well and it sure looks good on you.
It makes you look much younger.

Bald looks great on you, Sal. Your beard is pretty kick-ass, too! Keep up the good work, and welcome to the site!
