Hell yes! This is my kind of topic. I agree: nothing beats a cold beer on a hot day. Or even a cold day!

Personally, I prefer craft beer. I've never been a big fan of cheaper beers (Budweiser; Corona; Pabst; etc.). The wife and I like touring regional breweries and trying everything they have. Just a few weeks ago, we were in New Glarus, WI, checking out the brewery there (which has EXCELLENT beer all around). Some of my favorites brewers of the better-known varieties are Sam Adams; Rogue; Dogfish Head; and Bell's.
Although, on the aforementioned hot day, I particularly enjoy Blue Moon's honey ale. It just quenches the beer thirst so good. Sometimes we'll even add a bit of actual honey to some swigs.
On a side note, I recently tried Monty Python's Holy Ale for the first time. Not bad at all. Lighter than I thought it would be.
Now you guys got me going. Good thing it's Thirsty Thursday!

Guinness, Dos Equis or Amstel Light. Singha is good, too.

It's going to be a humid 95 degrees here in subtropical Central Florida today. When the workday ends I'll be at the pub savoring a pint (or two) or cold Bass Ale.
Beer makes civilized living a reality.

I was crusing through our local Save Mart and stumbled across
Roscoe's Amber Ale. It was reasonably priced and I hadn't tried it, so I thought what the heck. Well, it was an excellent choice! Very tasty.
http://roscoeshophouse.com/If you can find it, I'd suggest giving it a try.

I was in St. Louis a few weeks back and tried Schlafly (a micro-brewer). It was very good. It's also available in Washington DC at a pizza place called "Pi" (the original one is in St. Louis).

Schlafy is pretty good... Pi is also a good place to eat. (I'm about 20 mins. outside the Lou)

I love a good beer, just like many Australian's. If I am out I'll normally drink Carlton Draught, because it is on tap at any decent pub in Australia. Although if there is a nice ale on tap I will normally drink that. We have a few nice local ale's in Oz, the most popular would be little creatures, they do an amazing bright and pale ale. But I also love Fat Yak. White Rabbit, another nice local is Whale Ale. If I am just having a few quite ones at home I'll normally have a slab of TED (Toohey's Extra Dry) sitting in the fridge.
Beer is quite a favourite topic of mine. Although for someone who loves beer so much, you would be surprised at how infrequently I actually drink haha!
