30 Day Challenge--Day One Has Started!

Well fellow Sly Guys, I took the plunge today with the razor! I posted my routine out there, so I won't repeat it.
I took a few pics today to see how things looked up top, and I may need to change up a few things, as I have quite a few red spots almost all over, but surprisingly none on the back! They are on the sides and top!
See below for a pic of the top.
I'm hoping that these will go away with time, and it could be caused by doing two passes (with and against the grain), but only time will tell. I know I'll get used to it, but everytime I touch my head, I am reminded that there is no more hair up there!

Try some hydrocortizone 10% lotion, not creme, from the drugstore---great for reducing redness. Aloe vera also helps, but the hydro is the best to get it under control, and aloe for maintenance.

Welcome. Witch hazel will also help. I get Thayers from GNC and it works very well.

Congrats on joining the club. It's common to have some red marks and irritation at first, but in a short time, your scalp will toughen up and adjust to being shaved. From one of your other posts, your method sounds great, so just stick with it.

congratulations.
Looks ok for a first shave...you'll get the hang of it ( by yourself or watching videos about it on the internet).
Things will change within a month, don't give up

The kids loved the feel of it, and the wife is getting used to it. She was surprised that I shaved it with a razor, and admitted that she was grieving my lack of hair a bit, but like I said, she is getting used to it.
Decided to put a day in between shaves to not upset the scalp. That will put me shaving on Saturday and again on Monday.
By the way, attached are two photos: one before (view from above) and one after. You can see how the hairline was receding and yet how thick it was on the sides (future bozo head?!?!?)

I can't sieve how much your hair can grow in just one day! My head feels like the rough part of Velcro! Taking a t-shirt off is like peeling apart industrial strength Velcro if you let it get close to your head!
