first time head shave

hey guys shaved head for first time ever today :D used the gillette fusion power. i had alot of hair to go through and the band has gone white. how much longer should i use it because i cant afford a refill till maybe end of next week :) cheers

Don't worry about the color ofthe band, rely more on the feel of the shave. Welcome to the group.

Welcome Shane.    I agree with Tom, you should be able to get several more shaves out of that blade.  If you pour a little alcohol over the blade after you are done so that it dries thoroughly, you can get more life out of it too.

hey Shave bro watch this video! I use the same razor as you and this guys shows you how to sharpen those fusion blades! Thanks do my bro "daltonfury" Just use a pair of blue jeans!

Congrats shane, good to hear you chose to do it. I think you should be able to get a few more shaves from the blade. If it really starts to pull or tug instead of smoothly cutting, then it's time for a new cartridge. Good luck.  O0

shaved for the 2nd time this morning :D. still not quite got the technique and my heads a bit sore with a few rough patches but i think im getting there :)

Just take your time for starters, do it every day.  Won't be long before you are used to it.

In a week or two, you will get the hang of shaving your head. Best of all, the smooth feeling just gets smoother !

Try using some witch hazel after your shave. That should help make your head feel better.
