Haven't had any women offering me cattle yet.
Anyhow, finally met my girlfriend's parents the other day and after seeing me her stepmother was trying to talk her father into shaving off his severely thinning hair.

A great reaction from your girlfriend's mom (you must have some brownie points there). But you didn't indicate whether the dad seems receptive to shaving or if he's going to need some time and encouragement.

So far mine have been pretty good. Since you're changing your look it's going to shock people but that is natural. Women are funny creatures, I have noticed that some of my female friends developed an elevated level of attraction to me to where it's become obvious. It's actually quite flattering. My Mom and Sister love it too! It's gotten to the point where my Mom will ask me on the phone "you still have your head shaved, right?"

There are women that like the bald look better then any other look.
Also, there are women that say they do not like it at first (or before they have the chance to see you pulling it off), but when they see the change and notice the improvement then they will admit it's a better choice.
Last, but not least, there are women that will never get to like the look. It's just a matter of taste, though the taste can be trained/educated.
Plus, women don't always tell what they are thinking, so a bad reaction is not always a bad impression. -
