IDK, I've eaten jalapenos straight (sometimes with fried chicken) and didn't feel any sweat...
Oh Harry.... jalapenos are "beginners" peppers!!!

Mike....you're right-especially given that I live in the land of cayenne pepper and hot sauce! I know many people who refuse to cook unless those two items were available!
I only eat if it makes my head sweat, my nose run, and possibly brings tears. I make hotsauces from red savina habaneros among others, and I live for spicy food. My favourite line in an Indian restaurant is to say to the waiter 'so if you wanted to make an Indian friend throw up cause the food was so spicy... that's what I want'
I went to an Indian restaurant and told them to make my food, "Thai Hot". Well they fixed me up good. It was so hot even mixing all the rice on the table in it would cool it down. It was hotter than hell stewed down to a half-pint!

Yup Thai hot always serves me well at the local Thai restaurants, they always expect me to not be able to handle it, but I love it!

You guys are braver than I am. For me, 1 star in a Thai resturant is enough for me. My idea of hot is the hot sauce at Taco Time! Usually when I am there, I get mild salsa!
Some of you guyz are amazing. Texas Pete is about as far as I go.

I've toned my spice down with age, Tom...I think I'll always be a, "Tejas Pete" fan.
I have not experienced head sweat. I eat all hot, Thai, Mexican, Cajun and my own habanero/Scotch bonnet hot sauce. Now I do have some pure capcasin liquid that I have yet to try. Maybe if I add that to some food I will get the sweats. Lol
I was eating some wings the other day and noticed this, too.
I like spices in my food too. The only problem is now I need to cut back on the hot stuff because it tears me up. A sign of age I guess. Don't remember any that actually made my bald head sweat. Maybe the spices were not hot enough.
I would tend to agree never seen it
