Good for you man! Totally badass to be bald. My father has a statue of a bald man with a caption that reads: "Bald is Beautiful." Words to live by.

I'll think I'll keep it. I like the look though most of the people I know give me crap for it. I joined a boxing/mauy thai gym here since I figure if I am going to have the bald tough guy look forced upon me I might as well be a bald tough guy. Motivation to work out is always good.  All round positive experience so far.

Only "con" I've noticed so far is it makes breaking the ice with new people a little more awkward because I can tell they don't know what to think early on. This happens frequently since I moved to a new city by myself so it's just that noticeable, not that big of a deal though.

Thank you for all the kind words. Now to move on from the initial stage to the confidence building stage.

It's a great look. Keep the shaved the head.

I'm 6 days into the new look. And my approach to building confidence is the shaved head will add to confidence. Anyone whose confident enough to have shaved their head, will be confident - period.

Last night, when out with friends, I had my first comment from someone who said "your hair's fallen out!". I said nothing, half smiled as if treating it as as joke. Then carried on the conversation as if nothing happened. And guess what ? Nothing more was said.
