I enjoy the shaved head.  Not really anyone else in my circles that has the shaved look.  I get lots of great comments.  The biggest question I always get though is "how do you get your head so shiny."  I always respond "NBO" and after they think about it for a moment follow up with "Natural Body Oil."  The curse of really oily skin.  Nonetheless, I think you'll like the shaved look.  Its become such a common thing now that most people don't really give it much of a second thought when they see a guy rocking a completely shaved dome.
