Hey all,

Been sly for exactly 1 month now and figured it was about time to register and make a post. If for no other reason then to give a generic thanks to all the slys that have made posts I've read. Specifically all the posts about shave routines and moisturizers and exfoliators and etc. etc. I'm still working on my routine, but all the advice here has helped tremendously. Not only is my head cleaner, but I'm using the routine for my face as well which I would have never taken the time to do otherwise. I think the astringent I'm using is actually causing me to break out more though. Go figure.

I've also spent a small fortune on a slew of new products to try as well as a fancy wet/dry electric which I now love (Although, I'm not convinced the 4 blades is really helping much). I get as close a shave ATG with the electric as I do going WTG with the Gillette with MUCH less irritation. I'm still fighting major razor burn on the back of my neck from my first shave with a blade.

I also have no idea what skin type of I have and what to do with it. I do know I get small non-painful acne and my parents have large pores on their cheeks. Still lots to learn.

My quick story of why sly: I'm 24. I've been going bald for a few years now and finally decided enough was enough. I knew a rug was not for me and I knew I would do it as the weather starts getting cold because I like to wear beanies and hate dealing with the hat hair. 2 things I didn't think about though was: 1) a slight amount of stubble makes the beanie feel like velcro when you pull it off. Not a bad feeling, just...strange. 2) Since my dome is always inside a beanie when I'm out in the sun, it's not getting color as fast as I'd like. Oh well.

I've had mostly compliments on the new look including "You look like Morpheus" when I walked in the room for the first time wearing a leather jacket, glasses, and bluetooth. Definitely have more confidence with my new sly look (despite all the moles, strange birthmarks, and bumps) then the monkey butt balding look I had before.
