Just went sly last night. Have Alopecia Areata on my beard for a year, then on my head for about 6 months. I shaved it off because it was depressing hiding giant spots in weird places on my head. I feel better for doing it, but still taking some getting used to. I didn't plan on being hairless, but whatever. Coming to terms with it in 6 months was toughest. But my wife digs the new dome actually, which is a huge plus. Now I'm cruising the message board for some 'tanning' advice as I'm completely mismatched on head and face now. Keep you posted! (great forum by the way, I've been checking it out since I started getting spots on my head)
Welcome--lots of good information here. MPB, AA--whatever, even BBC--the Sly Domes are a great brotherhood.
Welcome sde37. I got to give you props for taking control of your situation and not letting the hand you were dealt define your look. I'm sure you'll find a lot of helpful stuff on the forum.
Welcome, a few days of easy sunshine will do the trick but don't rush it.
