Hi, my name is Chris, and I am a newly bald guy at 21 years old.
My hair has always fluctuated between short [about a #2] and long, as in a foot long.
One day, I was going to trim my hair, and forgot the guard. Shaved a good line down the side of my head. Too late to salvage, I went all over my head. Surprisingly, I liked it!
I kept cutting it down without the guard while contemplating the shave. Would it take too long? How does a bald head feel? Won't my head be cold, even in the middle of summer?
Well, I decided to stop being a wimp about it about the same time I got tired of my "hair" feeling like velcro, making putting on a shirt quit the chore. Without doing research on the matter, I took a steaming hot shower, conditioned the stubble, coated my head in shaving cream, and went to town. About 20 minutes later, I was bald, smooth, and I loved it. My head was a little cold, but it had already tanned to match when I was shaving it to stubble!
I don't think I'll ever go back to having hair, because being bald is the best thing that's ever happened to me!
Also, I figured it's worthless without adding a picture of my bald-goodness!
Thanks for the story and picture. The trim beard goes well with the bald head. I forgot the guard a few years ago, too! Oops. Wife thought it was on purpose, but it really was an accidental close crop. I was heading out for a conference where I was speaking! so I had to finish clipping to 'no guard'. Hey, I liked it.

Welcome Chris! I'm glad that you feel that you made the right decision. It's a clean and liberating feeling, right?

It's definitely a liberating feeling. I love every minute of it.
So far, the only person who doesn't like it is my grandmother, haha.
We all share the same sentiments here...once you go bald, there is no turning back. Welcome to the brotherhood.
Welcome aboard. I have to ask, what does that user name mean...LOL.
Welcome!
Glad you liked it. It's a great feeling shaving your head

It's actually not as malicious as it seems, haha. It's a song title from my favorite band, and also, ironically, the name of a paper I wrote in school detailing how The Shining by Stephen King was an analogy of extreme sexual frustration.
The walls bled in the book and movie. Walls Bled Lust.
OK thanx. I was just curious.
