Thought I would share an experience that happened to me recently. It started 2 weeks ago,I rode my motorcycle to work, worked all day got home and noticed a bump on the top of my head half the size of a golf ball.No pain no warning so I poked and proded to see what what it was,I know it wasn't there in the morning but it was there now.So I waited for my wife to get home from work she is a registered nurse so I thought she would have an idea, well she didn't except to call the doctor.I called the Dr. the next day got an appointment a week later, walke din his office,he looked at it made an appointment for surgery with....an oncoligist..I had skin cancer. So a week later which was this past monday I went under the knife. My wife was there with me watching and I could see something not right in her eyes, she said don't worry every things fine I knew everything wasn't alright,The Dr said he had to go deeper it was starting to spread,so after some time all was done he got it all and said you are lucky you are bald because if I had a full head of hair it would have gone unnoticed and well time would have passed to a point where it would have been to late to catch it early,so being bald saved my life.
Good reason for every guy to shave his head bald, right?
I'm glad it worked out so well for you.
Was this from a lack of sunscreen or something that just happens? I always wear sunscreen all over when ever I'm going to be outside but I still worry about getting too much sun.
Great story Harleyman!
Nice ride........ I'm riding a 2011 Limited these days....... black of course!!!
Exactly,I never wore sunscreen,I would burn than tan ,I ride with no helmet so I get plenty of sun, been doing this for years.I now wear sunscreen on the dome, and on the exposed areas when I ride,so with that said always protect your skin, it was a very unpleasant procedure that I don't recommend to any one.
