What's up folks? The name is Josh aka DJ Zoom. I'm a professional club, wedding, and prom DJ. I'm also in school for Audio Production and am a brother in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
I race cars when they aren't broken down, and drive a tuned, built, and VERY loud Mazda6S with a manual transmission (no slushbox auto for me). Cars and music are my two biggest passions, but I also am into eating healthier (down about 40 pounds since last August) and fly fishing.
Technically, I'm not bald. According to God or my DNA depending on how you feel, I'm omw. 22 (will be 23 in 10 days...woohoo) and I'm already receding up the front, leaving a little runway up the middle for a few inches. Its not terribly bad, but it affects my confidence and such. Its time to get rid of the clown hair as its been called. Tired of the jokes, being asked if I'm in my 30s, and generally having rude remarks made about my age due to the hair.
So tomorrow (or technically today) its going to go. May not blade shave/wax it depending on how it looks, but will cut it as close as an electric buzzer can get at the very least.
Here are some links to photos I took tonight of my hair. Thick everywhere but up front where it has thinned and fallen out. Doesn't follow the family pattern as my grandpa had a full head, dad had a bald spot on his crown, and my mom's dad shaved his since he was 12 and no one knew his hair situation.

You have my exact hairline, or should I say used to. You can see my before and after pic in the 30 day rule section a few months age. I would advise watching a few videos on you tube about it and wouldnt do straight razor the first time. You don't know what moles you have and might slice one off. The head is VERY vascular and mole removal is best left to the doctors. Can't wait too see the after pic. Welcome!

Zoom, you are going to look fantastic when you shave your head! Just do it. Buzz it down first, then use the razor to finish the job. You'll wonder why you waited so long.

Welcome.
Looks like about a 4A--it's time. Read the information on how to shave your melon and try it for 30 days. It will look good.

Yup... it's time. I would go for slick/sly but at your age you might want totry the very short buzz for a few days to see how that feels. My gut tells me either way will look great for you -- just depends on if you want to have an option to mix things up a bit more in the future.

Thanks guys. Its finished. I ended up going to Great Clips and chatted with a cute stylist about it and had my eyebrows thinned up as well. Its not smooth yet. I'm going to take a razor to it tonight, but she cut as much as she could without a real blade. It feels good. She also told me I have a nice head and I like good bald.

Big improvement. Scrape off the remaining stubble with a blade and you'll be amazed at how much you love it.

YEA!!! It's ALWAYS better when you get a complement with a cute girl (or guy for some of you on here, LOL).
TRY to count how many times you rub your own head the first time you shave. DON'T worry about any little patches you find. the first time I shaved it all down to skin, I ended up in the bathroom 7 times that day to do a touch up.
Now I just figure, what I missed this time I'll get next time.
I HATE EARS! they get in the way too much.
Welcome again

Thanks! I have been rubbing my head all day, still surprised I followed through. Celebrated by doing a 2 mile jog. All around feeling better already.
I realized I have dry skin patches in spots, so I am using huge amounts of the Nivea for Men hydrating balm. Otherwise, its no problem at all. I'm loving the look. Much more professional.
