Gotta admit, if it weren't for the seborrheic dermatitis that plagues me, I'd probably go with the Jason Statham look.
But, to answer Razor's question, Pacino (one of my all time favorite actors), looks like crap.

Matthew McConaughey also looks like crap. How can he look so bad at 41?

Worry, wearing a rug is worrisome.

Rug wearers-and those who dye their hair as well-don't seem to realize how painfully obvious it is. When I put on my sun glasses that formerly luxuriant black or brown topping turns to a ravens wing shinny purple with green highlights. As to toupees, if you're playing a role on screen or in a play, fine. Otherwise, face facts and act accordingly. Of course, as we all know, to the uninformed and the ill informed, lack of hair is synonymous with lack of virility. They'll learn but, if you'll excuse the pun, not the hard way.

It most likely starts as a means of covering up just a few grey hairs and probably isn't detectable at first. But as time goes by, more and more dye is needed. And the older one gets the more unnatural it looks. But by then it's probably a deeply-ingrained habit and difficult to break. Clearly, some of these guys don't know when it's time to stop. As a general rule of thumb, if you are over 70, you should have stopped some years ago.

Whoa.. Pacino! What are you thinkIng?!
Steve carell's hair was really thinning. If you watch the first season of the office, you'll see what I'm talking about, but he definitely started going for hair loss treatments. He even jokes about using propecia in one of the later seasons.

Steve Carrell actually doesn't look too bad, at least not in that photo.

he doesn't look too bad because he's not wearing a rug. His hair started thinning and then he started using propecia and probably rogaine at the same time.

IMO, Al Pacino couldnt (and never did) look good even if he was covered from head to toe with ice cream, chocolate sauce and $1m dollar bills.
I've never heard of Steve Carrell though.
