  I've been lurking this forum since i started going bald at about 18. The receding has slowed down and sped up multiple times, and i'm now 20 and showing pretty obvious signs of balding. I have pretty long hair at the moment. At high school i had very long hair, very curly... now it's like brown smoke! I worry about going sly because somehow i link my popularity to my hair. It's completely insane i know, but i suppose it's one of those things.
  
  I've been on here more for the past few months, and i've decided to go sly. Where i work, a good majority of the guys are bald and they tell me just to shave it off. Since i have long hair at the moment, I'm going to sacrifice it for a good cause and do it for charity. My dad has multiple sclerosis, and i've convinced everyone at work to donate money to the MS research. In return I'm going to let them shave it off at lunchtime! It will be a laugh, but just to say hi to you guys. I hope to be an active member, and I'll definitely get some photos on the go the day they do it.

  Welcome to SBG. Going sly and doing it for charity is a win win situation. I know you will love your new look and I doubt that it will affect your popularity in a negative way. You may even find that it increases your popularity.

• Thanks for the good will gestures guys, i'll be getting it buzzed tomorrow so i'll post a picture then. As for going completely sly, i'll make the decision when it comes! I must admit, i'm getting quite nervous.. haha.
