Hello from Southampton, UK

Hiya,
Stumbled across this forum by accident when looking for advice on shaving my hair.
Unfortunately my three year old son got diagnosed with lymphoma cancer a few months ago, it completely tore me up inside and I can't explain the feelings and thoughts running round my head!
Anyway, due to his chemotherapy we knew he was going to lose his hair, so as any loving father would, I decided to lose mine to!
I contacted the great people at head blade in the US and got talking to a gent called Eric Romer, being a fantastic company that supports the st baldrics charity in the US they sent my son a t-shirt some really cool hats and sent me a full head shave kit and head fade clippers! I could not have been more appreciative!
So I got to work and now I am completely bald, 2 days after, my son started loosing his hair so it worked out perfectly.
Me being bald has really helped my son, Cobee handle loosing his own hair, in fa t, it hasn't bothered him at all, now he is just like daddy!
I'm actually loving having a bald head, everyone says it suits me and has knocked 10 years off me (I now look 11!!lol)
Well, that the gist of it, the reason I decided to shave my head!
Thanks for reading.
Oh, I forgot to mention, having my head shaved I raised over £1500 for the cancer ward my son is on! If you would lime to sponsor, please visit
http://www.cobee.co.uk
Hope your all well...
P.s. Sunburn of the head is theeeee worst pain I have ever felt! Lol.

Sorry to hear about your son and I pray that he can get over his cancer!

Welcome to the forum. It's a great thing you did for your son. Thoughts go out to you and your family.
I'm sure things will be fine for Cobee, and more than likely you will end up keeping the dome smooth because you really like it.
Hang in there.

Welcome, and I hope this supports you, I have a sly friend who went sly when his daughter was diagnosed with a cancer. That was more than three years ago--he went "sly" while on a trip shortly after the diagnosis--currently daughter well, and he's still sly. The support of your child in this way is awesome and perhaps we all at SBG are supporting her as well in a small way--best wishes for your child and all who treat, support and care for her.
