HI,
I'm brand new to this board. I finally took the plunge and shaved my head yesterday. It will definitely take some time to get used to; however, I like it. On the other hand, my 11 month old baby girl looks terrified whenever I have my hat off...she starts to cry as if I'm really ugly or just some stranger. I went from a thick/dark head of hair (fake...HCM) and now I have a white dome...all in a matter of minutes. I'm sure she'll get over it and I'll be patient. Nonetheless, it breaks my heart...plus, I can't stand wearing this baseball hat. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Thanks...
Make a game of having her feel your head... she'll get used it fairly fast I trust.
I'm sure she'll get over it and I'll be patient. . . . . Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
When my oldest daughter was about 2 I shaved a full beard that she hadn't ever seen me without--screamed bloody murder, but it calmed down when I talked with her quietly. She accepted it within a week.
I'm sure she'll get used to it. It's not because you have a bald head of course, it's because you dramatically changed your appearance. Give it time..
Thanks guys,
Yeah, she calmed down quit a bit last night. Nonetheless, I'm sure it will take her a little more time to get used to the dome.
