Young girl showing interest in me

I'm 32 going on 33 this year and I've noticed in the past year or two several younger girls showing interest in me. I find it strange because most of my 20s I spent alone due to be bald. One in particular can't be more than 22 I think. I know she's a college student and from what I can see she has to be somewhere around 18-22. I really like the way she treats me and she seems like a nice girl. I'm just curious why she and other women are showing interest now when I didn't get much when I was younger. Are these girls truly interested in me or do they think I am financially secure and just want someone to take care of them? If they are interested in me I have no problem being with them but if they are just looking for someone to take care of them I want no part of it. I'm sure there must be someone else on this board who has gone through this same ordeal who could give me some insight.

there are several things that could be going on
she may just like older men,she may find them to be more mature/stable/experienced.
she might just be a very nice person
she might be a flirt
she might think, as you say, that your financially secure etc
if you're truly attracted to her (and not just in a flattered way or a physical sense) there's only one way to find out what's going on - chat her up, see where things go, maybe dinner and a movie. Just make sure she's at least 18......

I know for a fact that she is in college, so she surely must be 18. Although I guess there are a few 17 year olds in college. She looks about 22 to me but I'm horrible with ages.

Does she know how old you are?
Maybe ask her out but go someplace where you have to talk, not a movie or a play where silence is golden. Casual lunch or dinner, a long walk on the beach or in the park. Or if you're a ball player take her to the batting cages. Try to find out what her interests are and let her know yours as well.
Be observant! If she spends an inordinate amount of time staring at diamond tennis bracelets or other big ticket items in store winows this might be an indication of what she's looking for in a relationship.

Some women prefer the company of older men. It doesn't have to be a bad thing, some people just prefer men who are more grown up/settled and have a sense of who they are. She also may think that you're younger than you actually are. I wouldn't go in assuming bad motives, but since you're naturally wary of them i'm sure you'll see them if they exist.
