So today my local college hockey teal won the national title and my wife gave birth to our second child, so what better way to celebrate. I went sly. I have been tossing this around for a while. Tonight I was using a mirror to "imagine" myself bald. I noticed that the crown of my head was just stupid thin and so was the top. That solidified the decision. I used a few different products to see what I liked. Here is what I found: -Gillette Fusion Proglide-Nice razor, I use one on my face, so there was no learning curve. -Headblade Sport-I do like the idea of this. I caught on using it on my dominate side, but after doing the left I had to touch up with the Gillette -Gillette Fusion Hydragel-Much better than cheap gels. I liked it alot until I tried...... -Headblade Headslick-This gave me a closer shave and rinsed great. -I also have a product by Baldguyz. I will try that next time.
Here are some pics. I hope links to photobucket are acceptable. I didn't have much hair to start with, so there is not a drastic change, but I like it so far.
Thanks to everyone on this site for giving me the courage to join the sly ranks. my wife may be pissed at you but you guys are great in my book.

Congratulations to you and your wife with your second child!!
Well done on going sly. It may not seem like a big difference between the before / after pics - but it's a whole new world that has opened up. Enjoy it.
I use my HB mostly with my right hand (for both sides). Switch to the left hand for the tricky around-the-ear bits plus a mole to negotiate. I also like the Gillette Fusion Hydra products - but Headslick is magic.

She actually likes it. She keeps staring, but that is a good thing. Thanks for all of the support guys. Helps me be brave

Nothing to be brave about - it's your head, you like how it looks/feels(wife seems to not be objecting) and that's all that matters. Enjoy the new look and freedom.

Congrats on going Sly! No more $16 + tip haircuts for you and the wife isn't pissed. What's not to love about being Sly? Great job!

I have now cut my hair three times. That means I have saved $48 in the last three days right? I even figured out the little ticker thing to help me keeptrack of my days.
