• Well i ventured into the world of straight razors a couple months ago. Its great, i love using it and i have gotten good with it pretty fast. In fact, i shave my entire head with it, i just go by feel on the back.

• I can actually shave my head in about 5 minutes or less.  Its not as scary as one may think. I can do my face and head in ten min or less depending on my mood and time constraints. 
  
  Really, it you have a steady hand, id say try it.

• I am very interested in this. I just joined today, and found this site looking for advice or what to expect in using a straight razor to shave my head. My mother is a beautician/barber and has some straight razors. I am thinking about borrowing one to use, but it is a bit intimidating.
  
  Are the advantages of using a straight razor that much more noticeable? Is it easier/smoother/more comfortable?

• I use a straight razor with a disposable blade so I don't have to worry about stroping and honing and all that stuff. I get a closer shave and less irritation that with the multiblade cartridges. I did cut my self (superficial cuts) the first two times, but once I learned to hold it correctly I had no problems.

• its something that looks appealling but i dont think i'll give it ago lol ive pretty much got my routine and weapon of choice sorted, how ever if your interested in straight razor head shaving: try this

• Hmmm... Sounds a bit terrifying and out of my league...
  
  Besides, I don't have that steady of a hand!!... 
  
  I think I'm going to have to pass on this one and stick with the Schick.

• I love shaving my face with a straight razor, but I haven't tried my head yet. I might have to try it. Granted, there is no way I can do it in five minutes.

• Sure is a close shave, but for me too time consuming .
