Back to BBC
« on: January 02, 2011, 11:44:21 PM »
I had posted in the past under baldgoal.  I was BBC from April 2 to Labor day.  As labor day approached I started to let the hair grow in.  Before I knew it I had a full head of hair and wondered why.

I stayed that way until New Year's Eve when I went to the barber for a hair cut.  As he was about to give me my #1 fade, when I blurted out "take it all off".  He asked "to the skin" and I said "YES".  At that point I felt great.

Before long I was Bald By Choice again and loving it.  I was BBC for 5 months last time, this time I hope it is for a much longer time.

Nice to be back.

Hi Buck,

congratulations to your return to BBC :-)

Sometimes one takes a break from beeing sly - that is why my name is sometimer.
Although I am rarely taking timeouts now. Maybe I should change my name ;-)

Regards
Armin

Welcome back Buck.   Once you've gone sly it IS tough to be anything else.   First shaved BBC three years ago, tried letting it grow out, but just doesn't feel right.  Hang in there and you'll make it longer this time

tried letting it grow out, but just doesn't feel right.

I've done the same thing a few times in the last three years and I always bring it back to SLY!

I have a full head, not MPB, then any cut suits my head. Love to be sly but also love to see hair growing back. If I let my hair grow to, say, 1 month grow it's harder to have the urgent need to shave again. I become lazy, and let the next shave for the next week... until I see it's impossible to wait long and go to a radical shave again. And I become specially lazy during winter. During summer I'm more "loyal" to my smooth head.
I'd love to shave everyday but too lazy to do so in a constant basis, so most of the time I'm comfortable with a weekly #0 or smooth shave and that's good for me. I try to shave at least one time each 10 days, most of times when I'm not in a daily shaving routine.

I love looking me at the mirror and seeing myself completely smooth. I don't care what other will think.

Buck, welcome back!  So, did you give up your old name and close your account out?  Gee, I wonder if you can petition the Sly Bald Monitor gods about getting an old name back?  ???
but then again, many of us probably need to change our names after a while.  :/O ;)

Welcome back Buck. One thing I've found is the smooth dome always beckons. I also enjoy growing out a tight buzz every so often and then shaving it back down. This Fall I grew it out longer than I had in three years, and I found out it hadn't changed much, but it does show the balding and the front is separating more.
I will say there's nothing like that fresh shave after a grow out, though.
Keep it smooth, but this time shoot for the rest of the year; A smooth '11.     O0
