buying razors in bulk - websites?
« on: October 28, 2010, 01:04:04 PM »
So, I don't mind shaving my head everyday (or every other day) but the price is deterring. I am using the Gillette Fusion (orange & blue razor) and the heads are like 4 for $15! Yikes!

Does anyone use any sites in regards buying heads in bulks?

If not, I think I may have to try out an electric razor.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I hear you!!!

I'm going to try the Men's Shaving System after I use up my Fusion cartridges.

It's like $12 for the razor and 6 cartridges...and refills are $26 for 16 cartridges.

I'm half tempted to go with an electric myself.

I find I don't need the" best razor on the block". Lucky I guess but I'll be damned if I will spend the big bucks on the top of the line RIP OFFS.

Shouldn't you switch to the HeadBlade unit?
The cartridges last about a week per cartridge, and they are cheaper than the fusion ones.

This is clearly a case of YMMV - I've never been able to go more than a couple of shaves on an HB cartridge (or any other for that matter, to be fair).  They get too dull for my liking after that (snag, pull, *ouch*, snag, pull, *ouch*).   Happy to hear that you have better success with the blades for longer periods of time, however.   ;D

Maybe your problem is lubrication?
You are not a noobe,so I suppose you don't have that problem,but I couldn't resist asking.......
I myself have very thick hair, where it still grows on the majority of my head, except for the front,as I'm partially Yemenite by origin,so I can understand your problem with running blades off.
I can use a Mach3 for about a week.(and only 3 days with a Mach3 Turbo blade-don't ask me why is that)
Maybe you should try the Mach3 version......
See ya,

Check on ebay. I found some good deals even with shipping.
