Does anyone use disposable razors? If so, what kind and how many times do you use them before you throw away?

I am currently using blades from a disposable....Gillette Custom Plus 3's.....but i use them with the Headblade. I can get close to a weeks worth of shaves with each blade.....give or take a day.

i use those same blades in the same application i get an average of 5 full headshaves out of one blade. i also have the fusion for the face and get almost 8 days out of a blade. i watch the stripe when it is white i toss after next shave.

In three years a "disposable" came to my scalp once, and only once. My head is worth the price of first quality equipment and I use it.

I started with a disposable, and about a month ago I had a stint where I could only use a disposable with no shaving creame (had to shower shave.) Talk about crazy razorburns. My advice man would be to shell out $10 on a nice razor.

The only good thing about disposable razors is that they are disposable; so I recommend doing exactly that -- without using them!

Really you just have to find what works for you. Now if you are having irritation or a bad shave, then switch from them....but if they work for you.....like they do for me....then I'm not gonna let the word "disposable" keep me from using them (and saving money too boot!)

I'm using a Gillette 3 blade disposable on my sides for now, and the Gillette Custom Plus 3 cart on the headblade as well.
That seems to work quite well, actually.
I do have a Schick Hydro though (5 blade), once I switch that to triple blade instead I'm going to see how well that works out.

Disposables can work, but you can't beat a well-made, comfortable razor and quality blades, especially on your head.

Welcome to the boards, Malik. I used disposables a few times (not by choice) when I was shaving with an electric razor, and it either died, or I forgot it traveling. I think I used Gillette Custom Plus 3's... The blade itself wasn't bad, I just had no coordination using a regular handle. (insert HeadBlade plug here...

I only use disposables. schick xtreme 3 to be exact. One of the better disposables out there it contours very well to the head. Lasts me 2-3 weeks on average just one razor.
