Did I waste $$$ on this ebook?
« on: July 27, 2010, 02:41:57 AM »
Ok so I'm in China and I read so many good comments about a certain book.
So, I didn't want to wait until I come back to Canada in August to read it.
I was able to buy the ebook version.   After I put in all the credit card information
it tells me I have 24 hours to download it.  After that I have to contact the "vendor" if I want to download it.

Well what can you do stuff doesn't always download in China.  So after spending
my money I realize the item will not download.   I contact the people at drfuhrman.com
to ask whether or not I will have a chance to download later, but I am getting no
response from them.

Did I just waste my money?  It's my first time buying an ebook, I didn't know you had
to download in 24 hours after purchasing or else you would have to contact the "vendor". :/O

Who knows Tom, for political and other reasons you just never know when a file will not download or your favourite site will not load.   :-\
It's no big deal I can lose $25 U.S. but it sucks that I didn't know there was a 24 hour
download period UNTIL AFTER I clicked the purchase button (and entered my credit card info).   :/O

That's too bad. I guess over there politically incorrect covers a lot of ground.

Can you have someone download it for you and email it to you?

Even though you indicate that $25 isn't a big loss, and you can handle it,  You could contact your CC provider with the details, and probably get the charges reversed.  Good not delivered, should allow for the charges to be canceled.
Credit card purchases do have their benefits and protection.

Ok, so they finally replied back to my email and told me to follow a few instructions to
see if I could download it.   But even with those new instructions no success and that's
when I told one of my sisters in Canada to see if she can download it.  I gave her the username and password to register the product, etc.    The downloading was fine in Canada.  >:D So, I guess I will have to wait until I get back to Canada to read my ebook which will happen in 2 weeks.

My sister attached it to an email in the hopes that I would be able to open it, but no not working either lol.   What can you do.
