I hear ya. Now that I am sly, baseball caps are not my first choice in hats. The fit is clearly different. Given the choice, I'd prefer to go without a hat.
As far as teams go, both the Spankees and Red Sux are despised, probably a bit of jealousy because of their payrolls. Spare me the "they play within the rules". I totally get that and I have the utmost respect for Steinbrenner (RIP). All he did was want to win. He was an incredible owner. For that, if I had to pick one team I despised more, it'd be the Red Sux, their fans are just plain rude.
On the flipside, the owner of my beloved A's (Lewis Wolff), has an even higher net worth than Steinbrenner. Yet, he chooses not to spend. It's frustrating but hopefully, they'll be able to make a move to San Jose where more revenue could be generated.
Rush Limbaugh had a great quote on Steinbrenner. He said "Steinbrenner was the ultimate capitalist. He even knew that dying in 2010 would be better than 2011 because the tax rates are going to kill him next year" (or words to that effect). Classic.
I'll be wearing my A's hat when I'm golfing today.
