30 - 45 minutes?? Maybe you need to skip the foreplay and just get to it.

In the shower and done in less than 10 minutes. That includes head shave and face shave.

5 minutes scalp, 2 minutes face

I agree, even with two passes it should take no more than 10 minutes.  

Perhaps some of us prefer the more slow-and-steady approach -- I can't imagine racing through this and having to deal with the resulting bloodbath... 

That said, I would love to entertain suggestions for making the process go a bit more smoothly/efficiently -- I mean other than shaving in the shower, since that won't be happening because I shower at night and shave in the AM.
