So to my cross the Atlantic chums, do you think you have a chance

I have to be honest, I am worried about this one, I think a surprise may be on the cards.

Having to sit on the fence on this one as I have family in England and USA. A tiny part of me wants England to win as part of the UK, but this is tempered by the English press and their desire to remind us of 1966 at every available opportunity

My son has a baseball tourney, so I'm recording it.
INTERESTING SIDENOTE: On the 12th, the San Jose Earthquakes are playing Chivas USA at Raley Field in Sacramento. My daughter's Comp Team, Placer Alliance Pride, is playing at halftime. Unfortunately, I have closing ceremonies for the baseball season, so my son & I will be missing the game. The Lovely Mrs. Schro will be bringing the digital camera to record her play.
Pretty cool stuff!

I can see this one being a draw we are on bad form at the moment, but England and USA should both qualify, Algeria and SLovenia are both pretty weak.

We have a saying in American Football that goes..."Any Given SundaY" which means any team can beat any other if you play well and catch a few bits of luck. Think the French teams handball against the Irish.

Yeah that was criminal and made Thierry Henry very unpopular over here. I cant wait, I love the World Cup. Gone are the days when I watched almost every game, but it will certainly be my wife putting my daughter to bed on Saturday night, I will be firmly on my sofa come 7:00pm.
What I think will be interesting and this may not be that relevant to you gys over there. Is that Wimbledon happens at the same time as the World Cup so people's eyes are off the ball so to speak. It will be interesting to see how Andy Murray progresses without the annual pressure built around that.
Getting excited now! Good luck for Saturday.
