New almost sly guy
« on: June 05, 2010, 01:18:15 PM »
Hello all I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks great site. Here's my quick story as I'm sure some can relate to ::). I am 33 years old. I had the receeding from the front start around 24 but always wore my hair a little longer since I never really kept up with hair cuts. It wasn't to noticeable(I may have been in denial )until about 2 years ago. Sadly enough I have spent many hours looking at hair loss sites dreaming of a $20,000 transplant. I could probaly write a thesis on matthew mcconaughey's hair alone. I sort of had a out of body experience and wanted to slap the primadonna sitting at the computer looking at yet another site toting the miracle drug propecia and rogaine. I grabbed the razor and buzzed it to a number one. I felt liberated. A certain feeling of acceptance and relief. I now do it every couple of days with no guard for ease of convience. I was a bit worried girls would find me less attractive.
I have gotten mostly positive responses so far.Butlooks only go so far anyway. I was at a bar last night and saw a gorgeous girl. My friend started talking to her after about 5 minutes she wasn't attractive anymore. One girl I dated I wouldn't have looked at twice but once I got to know her she became ten times more attractive. So we get older loose some hair shave it off find a website of like minded people rock our bald heads turn over a new leaf and life goes on. Thanks for having me,
Ben

Welcome, and congrats on the new found freedom! O0 I, too, usually do the no-guard buzz (although sometimes I just HAVE to shave it slick). As we all get a little age on us, we find out who we really are. The days of styling, fluffing, and poofing are behind us, because a) it's leaving :x! and b) who cares! :/O Again, welcome to just being "us" !

Ben-

I just took a ride, with 20 other bikes, last weekend out to Raystown Lake.  For you, Head south to route 30 and take it straight west. You'll actually head up over the mountains on some great up and down twisties. On the very peak of the one mountain on route 30 is a place called Hilltop Tavern.... amazing views and cold beers served by pretty young girls.

I've never been but I hear that the east west ride in northern Pa. is great... the area is called the Little Grand Canyon (I think).

Mike I have family in pittsburgh so I have ridden 30 a bunch of times. Usually take the turn pike out and them hit 30 from bedford back. Very nice ride.

Thanks xnew. I was fretting a bit but feel better taking the plunge. I look back at some of the hairstyles I have and cringe. I was watching a video with agassi talking about his toupee he wore. To think he thought that diaster on his head looked better then shaving it is mind blowing. Shaved heads buck trends!
