I got a headblade sport with the little wheels, thinking I would be using this everyday for my headshaving. Buutttt everytime i've tried shaving my head I would do a pass on the top of my head and it would still feel horrendously grainy like I haven't even shaved. Whereas with my mach3 I take on pass on the top and its nice and smooth
Am I doing something wrong? or do the blades that come with the headblade just suck? I do exactly as I read and watched, keep the wheels in contact with your skin and apply little to no pressure.
Please enlighten me because I don't like having a 14 dollar razor and never using it. -

I sat mine down three or four times before I got the right technique/blade combo. Now I use it every time I shave my head. I got a really smooth shave with the Atra II blades but I cut my self regularly. I don't have any place that sells the Headblade brand anymore or Headblades period, so I never really had a chance to try them out. They seamed a little better than the Atra II. I then started using Sensor 3's and have found my fit. It is more forgiving and doesn't clog up. What I can tell you more than anything is that the Headblade takes practice and patience. My first few experiences were not filled with Zen either. It will come. I was never a shower shaver, but I have found my Mojo in the shower with this particular razor. I like it because after a couple weeks of practice, I don't need a mirror. I go by feel. YMMV

I don't care much for the Sport. Because of the matchbox wheels I get it moving too fast so when I do cut myself I take a chunk. I've gone back to the Classic/Ghost with no serious blood loss, in fact I hardly ever cut myself.
I don't know because I've never really looked closely but I wonder if the little wheels on the Sport change the angle of the cartridge just enough so I cut the $h!t out of myself every time I use it.
In any case I am back to the Classic configuration to stay. -

Anyone else feel the same way? I noticed with the headblade I save time and dont get irritation, but Im sacrificing a smooth shave, it feels like it does a lousy job on taking the stubble off it just kinda trims it a bit. I'm using the Headblade sport with the 3 blades, do I need to apply more pressure?

For some guys, like me, the HB just didn't cut close, nor was it easy to use bc I have to come at the side down to up then front to back to get it close--and compared to the M5 & standard stick cartridge razors, it's just too much of a hassle and often leaves me w/ lots of small nicks. I just don't have a HB head. So it sits in my drawer w/ all my "stuff." Unused--but it reminds me of the two or three weeks while I was buzzing and getting my courage up to go to the bone.

yeah I'm thinking i'm not suited for it either, I tried shaving with it and it left my head extremely irritated. I will just stick with my M3 -

The bad thing about the sport (in my opinion) is that it comes with the triple blades. I don't think they perform very well. Go get yourself some Atra or Sensor Excel blades and try the HeadBlade with those. You'll be much happier.

The bad thing about the sport (in my opinion) is that it comes with the triple blades. I don't think they perform very well. Go get yourself some Atra or Sensor Excel blades and try the HeadBlade with those. You'll be much happier.

The Atra will fit on the yellow adapter that the triples are already on. The Sport should have come with a black adapter which will fit with the Sensor Excel blades. I use the Sensor Excel blades with the black adapter on my Sport and my S4. -

Just take it slow and easy--my first headblade experience was a bit...messy...but I love it now....

Quick, easy, effective, and virtually nick free.
I have a Sport that I've never even opened, nor do I plan to given the above comments. -

HB Triples. When I don't have those I use Sensor Excels (twins). But I was able to lay in a good supply of HB as a result of coupons received from HB. The HB triples work fine for me in the Classic/Ghost but the Sport just doesn't work well for me.
