Ok so I have been headblading for about 2 weeks with the sport and the headblade triples..and except for the first time it's been great--However that first time I gave myself a few nice cuts--How long do they typically take to heal? I've still got some ugly looking marks from the cuts taht I am anxious to lose...
I cut myself with the headblade last Friday. I think I'll be able to shave tomorrow, so about a week. For me atleast.
Hope this helps,
Bill
Ahhh--perhaps i found the source of my lack of healing---I did not stop shaving
I suppose it depends on the cut, as i cut mine ontop yesterday and i shaved today and had no problems, didnt even bleed lol
But i remember about atleast 3 years back i cut my lip when shaving my face and that didnt heal for along time.
All i did yesterday though was to put some aftershave on the cut and leave that to dry up and then put some of the sunless tanning moisturiser on and that must have stopped it from scabbing, so i was good to shave again today
I've been headblading for a little over a year and a half now, and still give myself the occasional nick/cut. Best bet to avoid a nasty looking mark, is to get one of those styptic pens they sell in the shaving isles. They stop the bleeding right away ( a little sting here and there, but bearable). I always have one standing by, plus a little neosporin as well to prevent scarring. Usually, if and when I do slip and slice, I jump on it right way, and the results are pretty good. Healing time depends on the depth of the cut...if it's bad, it can take about 4-5 days to heal. My advice is to all headbladers is to go slow, and do NOT apply pressure to the blade. Good luck, and keep it sly!
I started putting some viatmin E on--it's been a few weeks and they are fading but still there--annoying...
We all nick/cut ourselves at one time or another - - -
I also use the vitamin E - - and now being in the sun - the cut marks have gone away (be careful with the sun: only 15-20 minutes)
These marks are persistent...hope I didn't scar myself...
