Not gonna be sly for a while...

I had a cyst removed from my head today. The doc said I could continue shaving my dome, but not to shave the stitches

Well, since I shave in the shower, without a mirror, I'm afraid I would accidentally shave right over them! Then my shower would resemble a murder scene!
So I'm hoping my hair doesn't grow too fast between now and March 11!

That's not very long. You'll be sly again in no time.

Well, good luck with it, but be prepared for a severe case of 'Velcro Head'.

I know it will make shaving the noggin easier in the long run, but I'll probably be having second thoughts about the surgery by about day five!

Have you given any thought to an electric? Panasonic makes a fine Linear. Simply Red did a great review on this unit in the product reviews section.

Hi Howie -- I hope your incision heals quickly and you're back to sly quickly.

Options to consider, a no guard buzz, the mirror will keep you clear of the stitches. That's my plan when they freeze 7-10 precancerous lesions from my dome on 3/9--if he doesn't cancel this appointment like he did the first. My only issue is that I don't like hats, don't have that many, including beanies to begin w/, and I'll have to wear one to keep the "battle" scars hidden while they heal up

. Good luck.
Another option I'm thinking of after the swelling goes down is to blade shave carefully around them. They seem to be in areas with no hair anyway--and the no hair areas continue to grow

.
You will make it. And, probably appreciate it even more.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
Budddha, I looked at Red's review of the Panasonic linear. That thing sounds amazing!! A little pricey for me, though.
Ta2guy, nice ink! I like the lion head.
Saintc, I have a ton of hats, which i almost never wear. Thanks for the advice. I'm sure the stubble will keep my beanies from sliding off my head!

I beg to differ. That's no excuse whatsoever to allow your hair to grow back after embarking on SLYness.

How about an update Howie, how did it go, any swelling, pain?

Hope it's progressing nicely.
