Hi guys
Any quick remedy for nicks/cuts on the head from shaving/otherwise? I seem to be injure prone when doing weights from bumping into racks/etc.
Also, I got a bad gash on the back of my head from slipping on ice over Xmas (drink induced

) and whilst it has healed up, there is still the mark from where the scab peeled off. Any solution to get rid of the mark?
Cheers guys!

Mederma seems to work pretty good for reducing scars/bump as well as vitamin e, break a capsule on the scar and it should get the redness out in about 6-8 weeks.

I also heard Mederma is good, if you have inflammation but the skin is not broken you could try hydrocortisone. Use it sparingly though because it loses its effectivness if you overuse it and also overusing it can cause thinning of the skin, this is coming from a layperson before using any medical product contact your physician.

For cuts I use a styptic pen. Works wonders and you can get them for about $1 here at most drug stores.

One piece of advice i usually follow but did not yesterday: go slow!
I put a deep, inch-long gash on top of my head that bled forever! This was no cut, but a gash that needed pressure applied and a first-aid kit. Who knew that not going slow with the razor could do that kind of damage!
On a superficial note, I had to put a square bandaid on it. At first i was embarrassed but thought to myself, I'm not the first to get a cut like this on my had and I won't be the last. Unfortunately I am at a convention and did not pack a hat. Luckily I was able to purchase one in town yesterday to relieve some of the residual embarrassment.
