I'm new here! Here is a little about me -
Name: Kef
Occupation: University Student (BSBA Computer Information Systems)
Age: 20

I was looking up some information on baldness and found this site. I just recently found out I have early stages of male pattern baldness, so I'm trying to prepare myself for "that day"... you all know what I"m talking about

My doc prescribed me Propecia to keep my hairline, but that stuff is so outrageously expensive and most insurance companies don't cover it. So when "that time" comes I will just shave it all off. Of course, hopefully it will be years from now, but I have to prepare for the worst!
I have to prepare for the worst!
Well, good instincts on the drugs, hopefully the same on the plugs, and expensive--that's also a problem of rugs.
But, your instincts on "the worst!" Well I don't think I can support you there. I think from my recollection of almost every guy who's come here looking into to "Sly" is that the act, the day, the experience of Sly is one of the best in their lives--an empowering moment, a rush of freedom, simply put a great experience. The ONLY reqret you'll see here, and I share this one as do many others, is that we didn't do it soon enough.
Than being said, welcome. Sly is really going to be nice, and if you don't like it, and that is extremely rare, what you have left, or almost all of it, will grow out and you can take the alternative road, the hair, by hair, by hair road to mpb--some people just like to look like that, I just can't connect with it.
Welcome KEF!!! You are actually preparing for the best!
Welcome Kef. Glad to hear that you are staying away from the drugs.
Welcome. You're smart to go sly early and spare yourself the anxiety and worry of freaking out in the mirror. Now you can just look in the mirror to shave!
Hi KEF - -Welcome - - - -Try a #2 cut on yourself and see how you like it and then try a #1 -- - -If you do not like it - -just let it grow back - - -we are here to help you and talk it out - -send a picture if you get a chance
Welcome to SBG's forum Kef, go gradually and naturally with the buzzcuts, like mango says. From there you can decide if you want to shave it all.
Don't go the drug route, it's a bunch o' BS.
